Enigma
“A complete word-game experience, designed for Serbian players.”
We shaped Enigma across brand, web and product: designing and developing the landing page, designing the complete app interface, and building the product alongside the engineering team. The result brings three daily word games, two Serbian scripts and one consistent experience into a single app.
Our Role
We led the visual and product direction, designed the landing page and the full mobile UI, then worked with the engineering team to turn that system into the finished application.
The work covered the complete journey: introducing Enigma on the web, choosing a game, solving the daily puzzle, reviewing statistics and unlocking achievements.
One Product System
Vordl, Ukrštenica and Mini ukrštenica each have different rules, but they needed to feel like parts of the same product. A shared visual language, navigation model and progress system keeps the experience familiar as players move between games.
Colour gives every game its own identity while typography, spacing, cards and interaction patterns hold the system together.
Designed Around Serbian
Latinica and ćirilica are both native to the experience. Script switching was designed into the interface from the start, including the keyboards, game content and supporting UI.
That decision made localization part of the product architecture rather than a layer added after the design was finished.
The App Experience
The home screen makes three games immediately understandable and keeps daily progress visible. Inside each game, the interface steps back so the puzzle, keyboard and feedback states remain the focus.
Statistics, archives and achievements extend the daily ritual into a longer sense of progress without making the core games feel heavy.
The Landing Page
We designed and developed the landing page as a direct extension of the app. It explains the three games, shows progress and achievements, and leads to one clear action: download Enigma.
The same type, colour and illustrated puzzle pieces connect the marketing experience to the product players open every day.
Built Collaboratively
We produced the app collaboratively with the engineering team using React Native and Expo. We carried the UI system through implementation, working across navigation, responsive states, localization, persistence and interaction details.
Close design and engineering collaboration kept the shipped product aligned with the original direction instead of becoming a loose interpretation of it.
